Crumelknowes uses the Sandyford Abattoir in Paisley operated by John Scott Meat as there is a lack of local alternatives. Sandyford is well known for carrying out halal slaughter, but we have been assured in writing that the lambs from Crumelknowes are not religiously slaughtered.
