Status Definitions

| Low Risk | Food producer has indicated that no religious slaughter methods are being used. |
| Medium Risk | Food producer has, or is suspected of having, halal and/or kosher certification. Religious and non-religious slaughter may be carried out in the same factory so the potential for mixing. |
| High Risk | A substantial producer of religiously slaughtered products. Food producer has, or is suspected of having, halal and/or kosher certification. Religious and non-religious slaughter may be carried out in the same factory so the potential for mixing. Some High Risk producers may be fully religious slaughter, stunned or non-stunned. |
